Regulator warns of ‘Armageddon’ cyber attack on banks

Ben Lawsky, head of New York’s Department of Financial Services (DFS), said he fears a cyber attack aimed at the financial system that will represent a “systemic risk” to the financial system and broader economy – not unlike the mortgage meltdown of 2008.
