TSX steps back after large gain, energy stocks slide on Goldman price warning

TORONTO – Energy stocks led the way to a decline late-morning Monday on the Toronto stock market. The S&P/TSX composite index fell 78.61 points to 14,465.21.

A dismal forecast for oil hit energy stocks in North American markets Monday, pushing the TSX and Dow lower. The S&P/TSX composite index fell 73 points to 14,470 by late afternoon, with the energy sector down almost 3 per cent.
