Bank of Montreal’s new head of global investment and corporate banking is Darryl White, a veteran capital markets executive who joined the bank in 1994 and served in a number of positions including co-head of the media and communications practice and head of investment and commercial banking in Montreal.
BMO reported the appointment after markets closed on Wednesday.
The news comes about a week after Canada’s fourth biggest bank announced the retirement of Bill Butt, the current global head of investment and corporate banking. Mr. Butt, a highly regarded executive who joined the bank 19 years ago, is set to step down at the beginning of April.
Mr. White will be responsible for all of BMO’s s investment and corporate banking activities globally, including equity and debt underwriting, corporate lending and project financing, and merger and acquisitions advisory services.
