The Dow could shoot up to 12600 on the next few buy cycles before falling back down to 10800-11000 on the next two sell cycles. Banks and financials went up a lot today. We’ll see tomorrow if they continue upwards as would be expected with no wick in the candle.

Central banks go into action to prevent debt market chaos. Gold futures surged to settle at a two-week high after coordinated action from central banks made additional liquidity available to the global financial system. The Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank and four other central banks announced a coordinated move to cut the cost of U.S. dollar swaps by half a percentage point, making it cheaper to borrow dollars. At this stage in time, most of the investors I know fall into four main categories of people. Those that believe: 1) currencies and bonds are secure and precious metals are worthless, 2) precious metals should be held as money and currencies are worthless, 3) energy is where the majority of holdings should be, and 4) income producing real estate like farm land, commercial and residential income properties are the best. It all depends on your philosophy and perspective, but individuals will lean most heavily on the side that their mind (or spouse) is most secure with.
